The Association was formed on the 25th of June 1993 following the amalgamation of The 16th/5th The Queen's Royal Lancers and the 17th/21st Lancers. Membership is open to all those who are serving in the Queen's Royal Lancers or have served in The 16th/5th Lancers, The 17th/21st Lancers or The Queen's Royal Lancers.

The Queen's Royal Lancers fully endorse only two websites - this one and the MOD's Army website. Home Headquarters (HHQ)

HHQ, located in Grantham, is the administrative center for the Association and is administered by the Regimental Secretary, Lt Col (Retd) JG Adkins and the Assistant Regimental Secretary, Capt (Retd) JM Holtby AMA.

HHQ also contains the Gift Shop, and the office, archives and reserve collection of the Regimental Museum.
